What was the highlight of Smile Hotel Asahikawa
Very Good
Excellent central location, very comfortable room and the staff were very kind and helpful! Fast internet and the breakfast buffet was well worth it, I stayed here twice.
Only downside is a small bath/shower, but that's a very minor complaint.

The staffs were extremely helpful Convenient location, 2-3m working to the Asahikawa station, opposite the bus stop to Higashikawa and Asahikawa airport
- The hotel was old and the door is really hard to open - Small bathroom - There was weird smell in the room but after few minutes of air ventilation, it got better

Wouldn't stay again
There wasn't any positive to say about the hotel. It was quiet so that was a plus but not much else. I wouldn't recommend the hotel and won't stay at this chain again.
There was no parking and the staff were not very helpful if finding a space nearby. The TV was locked so I wasn't able to connect my own device which most hotels permit these days.

Great hotel very close to Asahikawa station and I look forward to being a guest again
The facility was clean and classy, and overall a great value. The staff spoke surprisingly good English in the absence of my Japanese skills, and they literally ran to fulfill a simple requests. Thanks Smile hotel for the hard work. Baggage check service was safe as can be, with storage available behind the front desk.
The hotel was great. It’s in a busy area so the beeps from all the bulldozers removing the snow can be heard through the windows throughout the night, but that’s really not the hotel’s fault, as the rooms seem to have good sound insulation as well.
